Losing 100+ pounds – Weekly Update – Nov 17, 2009
Well…my jeans are no longer looser. And I need a new measurement. The zipper on my jeans broke so now I can’t use them as my benchmark on how much I’m shrinking.
And no…I didn’t burst the zipper (thank goodness!); the tag got caught in it and I pulled to hard and snapped the zipper. Oh well.
Anyway, I did put on the jeans (broken zipper and all) just to see how they were fitting. But…I’m afraid my carelessness this week took away all the progress I made last week.
Things to improve:
- Exercise! I didn’t get my execise in this last week. It seems I’m just going from one thing to another and not making the time for it. Definitely need to change that.
- Plan my meals and snacks better! I fell down on the job this week planning out my meals and snacks and making sure I had healthy choices in the house. I did make better choices when I went out to eat this week; but I also messed up too (Empress Chicken and Chicken Parmsean aren’t exactly healthy).
So for the coming week – things I need to work on – Stock healthy foods, plan out healthy meals and stick with the plan. And of course EXERCISE.
One of my business mentors says to put a note by the computer to ask yourself “Is this activity bringing me closer to my goals?” And the reality is I need to apply this to my weight loss goal as well.
”Does this activity bring me closer to being fit?”
“Is eating this going to bring me closer to my goal?”
So that’s my results for the week. How’d your week go?

You can do it!
My week is going good. I got in a good amount of exercise so far and my week ends Sunday so I still have other workout plans. More tooth issues so I do what I can. As for eating, I am up and down. I am trying to really control my portions and sweets.
Joined a 30 day challenge called Whittle My Middle and am on day 2. I like it and I hope by the end I can actually do full side planks. Right now I can’t keep both legs off the ground.
Anyway that’s my week so far. Let’s do this!

Thanks for the encouragement Angie! Sorry to hear you are having more tooth issues! Hopefully all the dental work will go away soon and you’ll be feeling better.
Took at look at the Whittle My Middle challenge – that looks like a good one. I’ve been following Craig Ballentyne with Turbulance Training for a while and really like his workouts though I can only do the beginning ones (for now). It’s amazing how exercises like plank and side plank can look so easy, but be so effective.
