Resolution versus Goals
Happy New Years! 2010 is going to be an amazing year. A year of breaking free and transformation.
For the last few weeks I’ve really been working on looking at where I’m at and where I want to be. Obviously here, I’ve been working on my health and fitness goals for 2010, but I’ve also been doing this in other areas of my life.
One of the things that I’m really wanting to make sure of is that I am making GOALS – actionable, measurable goals. Not “Resolutions”.
Why?
Because today is the day that so many people “say” they want to lose weight, that they want to improve their health, they want to get fit. But they don’t. I know. I’ve been there more times than I can count.
Over the last 15 years I’ve joined gyms, paid gym memberships for months and not done anything serious about it. I’ve made resolutions, wished, thought about it, dreamed about it, even take a little action here and there.
This year is different. This year I’ve given myself a solid goal with a timeline, but more than that I’m breaking it down into action steps.
For the last few weeks, I’ve been looking at mind-set materials, at goal setting, and information on why new year’s resolutions fail for most people. This year is different. I want this year to be different, so I’m going to make this year different.
How about you?

Same here! I am going to make big changes in my life this year in all areas (personal and business). Of course, the year didn’t start out as planned (sick for the past few days) but I’m not going to worry about it. Things happen!
Looking forward to seeing what we accomplish this year!

I’m so sorry you’ve been sick Angie. Especially with you just being back from vacation and having your anniverary. Wish I could bring you some homemade chicken broth to help you feel better. Can’t wait to see what you post for your goals for this year!
