Fat Loss Quickie Home Office Workout – Day 8
Saturday was day 8 of my January Exercise Goal (30 days of the Fat Loss Quickie workout), and while my legs were still feeling the workout from 3 days ago, it was better today.
Today’s strength workout was all about chest and abs, and because exercises are done on the exercise ball from a rollout position, of course the legs and gluts (butt) get a workout too.
This was the workout with the pushups, and I needed to modify them of course. I’m actually looking forward to the day when I can do a set of full pushups – that would be cool!
The cardio workout was another effective 10 minutes. I had to modify the burpees for two reasons – space, and the fact I don’t think I can do them. My 6 yo daughter got on me about that, “But mom, that’s not the way HE’s doing them!” …aw comments from the peanut gallery.
Mid way through the cardio workout I had to turn off my portable heater in the room. I was too warm. And I made a mental note that I needed to bring up more water for these cardio workouts. Wow…they are short and effective.
Afterwards, I stretched out on the exercise ball, and sat and watched the mindset video that came with today, as well as listened to the short motivational audio.
So, 8 days down, 22 more to go

Fat Loss Quickie Home Office Workout – Days 6 & 7
Days 6 & 7 of the Fat Loss Quickie workout are down days – and thank goodness! My quads (thighs) were killing me!
Day 5 was the first time I had done the full program – both strength and cardio, and boy that cardio workout, while very doable, made an impact after the fact. I’m feeling it.
I actually pulled out my husband’s heating pad and laid on it to help my legs. But it is a good kind of feeling, knowing that I’m not hurting because I’m hurt, but because I had a good workout and my muscles are getting stronger. Like that.
Anyway, even though there’s no work outs for days 6 & 7, there are mindset materials. Day 6 has a nutritional tip video and a motivation audio, and Day 7 has a change series video and a short motivational audio. I confess, I watched and listened to it all on day 7, cuz I took day 6 completely off.
But it’s going good, and given how my legs feel after that cardio workout on day 5, I’m definitely going to make sure I get that cardio in over the next week.
So 7 days (1 week down), only 23 more days to go.

Fat Loss Quickie Home Office Workout – Day 5
Wednesday, Day 5 of my 30 day Fat Loss Quickie exercise goal, was a busy busy day for doing errands, and dealing with other people’s stuff. And quite frankly I ate horribly today – 2 orders of curly fries from Arby’s, deep fried Chinese food, and a fudge brownie from Denny’s. Not a peice a fruit in sight. Not good.
But I did salvage part of my day. At 11:30 pm tonight (Wednesday) I was upset, angry, and frustrated and didn’t like how I was feeling – didn’t like the fact I ate horribly or that I let other people’s stuff bother me so much, or the fact that my work productivity was nil today – so I decided if I was going to be up late working anyway, then I was just going to get this junk out of my head and go spend some time with Scott (virtually of course).
And it worked. Today’s workout included a 9 minute strength video, a 10 minute cardio workout, a Change Series video on journalling (a passion of mine), and a motivational audio from Scott. And it was just what I needed.
My 6 yo daughter watched of course. She tries to do some of the exercises, and sometimes just sits on the bed and watches the videos with me. Today she was correcting my positioning, “Mom, your head is supposed to be up.”
The strength workout today was on shoulders and abs and included one exercise I’ve never done before (which is unusual – I used to be a gym rat, so I’m pretty familiar with most of these exercises). But it was good, and I was feeling it. Those 5 pounds weights were just right today.
My head was clearer after the strength workout, but I needed some more mental cleansing so I decided to do the cardio as well. This is the first day I’ve actually made it to do Scott’s Cardio segment (I’ve been walking on other days), and surprisingly it was easier than I expected or rather simplier than I expected.
After that I did sat on the ball, and stretched out a bit, while watching the Change Series video and also listened to the motivational audio. I feel so much better mentally (and believe me Iwas in a not so nice place.)
My muscles are happily tingling, but I didn’t realize how much I was affected until I went to walk down the stairs back to my office (for some late night work, and writing this blog post)…my legs nearly gave out me! Guess that cardio worked pretty well
I feel good about how this day is ending. It’s 1:33 am right now and all that ickiness I had going on earlier is gone, and I feel ready to start again, focused again. Thank you Scott!
So 5 days down and 25 more to go. Thanks again for being here to hold me accountable!

Fat Loss Quickie Home Office Workout – Day 4
Day 4 (Tuesday) of my 30 day Fat Loss Quickie exercise goal was about arms and abs. Today the program included the strength workout, a cardio workout, a nutrition tip video, and a short motivational audio.
Before I started my work day I did the strength workout, with my 6 yo daughter watching. (She really likes watching me do these videos). It was all about biceps and triceps and some ab work.
I had no problem with this one. In fact I think I need to pick up some heavier weights. These five pound weights I have were a little too easy for these exercises.
Unfortunately I didn’t get back to do the rest of the day’s workout – didn’t even get a peek at the nutrition tip or motivational audio. But I did get a good brisk walk in with my 6 yo daughter and the dog, so I’m pleased that while I didn’t do Scott’s cardio (again!), I did get some cardio in.
I do like this routine of doing short sessions spread across the day. I am feeling a lot better energy wise and my productivity is way up. So far the pattern I’ve been doing is the strength exercise before I come down stairs for the day and then in the later afternoon doing some sort of cardio, like walking in place or walking outside with my daughter.
So 4 days down, 26 more to go. Thanks for being here to hold me accountable!

Fat Loss Quickie Home Office Workout – Day 3
Well, Monday was Day 3 of my 30 day Fat Loss Quickie exercise goal and it didn’t go quite the way I expected. I was sore from some extra exercise I had done and the weather is cold again so I wasn’t very motivated, played head games with myself all day long – I need to do it, no…I’m going to take the day off.
But I did eventually (at 10:30 pm) get online and start up the Fat Loss Quickie program, thinking I could do the strength workout and the motivational peices of it while my 6 yo daughter was in the bathtub.
So I started the strength video, and the first exercise I immediately had to modify. It was chair lunges… doing lunges while standing on two folding chairs.
Nope. Not going to happen. I’m embarrassed to say that I have broken chairs just by sitting on them, so I am definitely not going to try standing on two of them and doing lunges. So I just did standing lunges.
But then my workout was interrupted by a family issue, so that was the end of that. 2 minutes of the strength workout.
The Day 3 workout includes the strength workout which focuses on legs, a cardio workout, an 11 minute Change Series video on mission statements, and a motivational audio.
Not wanting to go to bed without watching at least the Change Series video, I ended up watching it while combing out my daughter’s wet tangled hair after her bath.
Finished the last part of the video and listened to the motivational audio while bouncing on the exercise ball. Just trying to squeeze in a little bit before bed.
So not much for doing the program today, other than just trying to overcome the desire not to exercise and hoping I won’t be sore on Wednesday and will have better motivation.
Hope your week started out more productive exercise wise than mine did!
